The focus of these multimedia courses is LIVE (not online) poker. If you are just starting out or a low limit live hold 'em player or an experienced online player, these courses are designed to teach you the essential strategies and skills for becoming an outstanding LIVE poker expert.
The course topics cover both cash and tournament No Limit Hold 'Em play. They include very critical information that all players need to know and incrementally get into more advanced concepts. Early on, I spend a lot of time on the math of poker (pot odds and reverse pot odds), position issues, profiling opponents, reads, being deceptive and learning to read the poker story of a hand (among other things). I show how certain bets must be within a range that is high enough to reverse the pot odds in your favor and low enough to avoid excessive risk. I explain my rationale for ranges and discuss how to set them yourself. I show these concepts by showing extreme hand examples and playing the hand through slowly where I discuss every play in detail and summarize the key points. Finally, modes of play are covered such as ABC, Tight/Strong and Loose/Strong. When to switch modes (gears) based on opponents, situations and type of game is also reviewed.
